The Interfaith Temple to Begin On-Line Services
New Ministry Team to be Installed
[New York, NY, March 3, 2021] —The Interfaith Temple, ordaining body of The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies, has announced that it will begin weekly on-line worship services on Sunday, March 21st, 2021. Elder Rev. Dr. Jay Speights, Executive Director of The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies, will install the new ministry team consisting of Senior Minister, Rev. Dr. Stacy Lee Goforth; Minister of Music, Rev. Dr. Samora Smith; Minister of Technology, Rev. Eve Hurwitz and Minister of Communication, Rev. Dr. Victor Fuhrman.
Initial services will be conducted via Zoom and will be recorded and uploaded to The Interfaith Temple’s new website, TheInterfaithTemple.org. Membership is open to those of all faiths and spiritual backgrounds. Elder Rev. Dr. Speights shared that like The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies, The Interfaith Temple is “founded upon the radical Divine vision that faith traditions working together will build community and not divide it.”
Rev. Dr. Goforth shared her vision that in addition to Sunday services, the temple will create a series of circles for community participation and growth that may include a Meditation Circle, Prayer Circle, Mystics Circle, Study Fellowship Circle, Healing Circle, Caregivers Circle, Bereavement Support Circle, and others that the community is inspired to form.
The temple services and offerings will be funded by members’ dues and heart-felt donations. Further information including temple foundation and goals, weekly and special service announcements, membership, and other services may be found on TheInterfaithTemple.org or by emailing questions to info@theinterfaithtemple.org.
