Special Workshop

LAMENT:  Healing Across Faith Traditions

Led By TNS Doctoral Candidate, Rev. Merle Malone

In this workshop, Rev. Merle Malone offers participants an opportunity to explore the significance of lamentation as a pathway to healing, resilience, and spiritual growth. It delves into the role of lament in various religious traditions and how it can deepen spiritual practices and foster community connection. The workshop relates to upcoming holy days by providing a space for reflection, repentance, and renewal. Lament is treated as a sacred practice across faith traditions, allowing individuals to express grief, seek comfort, and find hope amidst challenges. The workshop allows one to deepen your inquiry into self and the whole of creation and aims to honor the power of lament and its transformative potential in personal and communal contexts.
