MEDITATION MONDAY CIRCLE
Facilitator: TNS Alum Rev. Sonia Turanski
Join us on the 3rd Monday of each month as we support each other in practicing mindfulness meditation. Based on the tradition of Thich Nhat Han and Plum Village Mahayana Buddhism, each meeting will begin with a short reading followed by a 25-minute silent meditation, and ending with a check-in and discussion. Each session is 50 minutes long, allowing participants to join regularly scheduled Seminary offerings at 7 pm.
Earning her Master’s degree in Comparative World Religions from Bangor Theological Seminary in 2006, and being ordained as an Interfaith Minister and Doctoral recipient through The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies in 2022, Dr. Rev. Sonia Turanski has over two decades in the exploration and teaching of the world’s wisdom traditions. A practicing Buddhist, she has led meditation groups in the Plum Village tradition for over two years.
