Rev. Dr. Goforth Appointed Senior Minister

Will Lead New Ministry Team

[New York, NY, March 3, 2021] —The Interfaith Temple announced that Rev. Dr. Stacy Lee Goforth has been appointed Senior Minister and will lead the new ministry team. The announcement was made by Elder Rev. Dr. Jay Speights, Executive Director of The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies.  Rev Dr. Goforth and the team will be installed during services on March 21st.   Elder Rev. Dr. Speights praised Rev. Dr. Goforth saying, “Rev. Dr. Stacy Lee Goforth brings to this position an incessant drive to deepen her spiritual inquiry and knowledge which to enables her to better serve others.” He continued, “She is imbued with a deep sense of compassion and a vision of ministry informed by her enriching life experiences that allow her to connect with individuals on an organic level.”  Rev. Dr. Goforth extended her gratitude for the appointment and Elder Rev. Dr. Speights’ confidence in her abilities sharing, “I am honored to assume this position and ready to serve the spiritual needs of our interfaith community.”

Rev. Dr. Goforth, MTh, DMin, graduated from The New Seminary as an Interfaith Minister and was ordained in 2011. She is the author of I Followed Anyway: The Spiritual Journey of a Lifetime; co-author of Pearls of Wisdom, and creator of the “The Divine Plan” spiritual gifts program, also writing the accompanying workbook. She was the host of the WebTalkRadio.net podcast, “Goforth on Faith.” She also served as co-pastor of Moodus United Methodist Church. Rev. Dr. Goforth holds certificates in spiritual coaching and direction, and in indigenous cultural awareness. She has been serving as a dean for The New Seminary and is also creator-owner of Crystal Vibrations Jewelry.
